Cardigo

Year: 2010
Genre: Card game
Platform: PC
My role: Programmer
Technology: C#, OpenCV, webcameras
Project
Cardigo - An Interactive Card Game was my final bachelor project at the IT-University of Copenhagen, spring 2010. It was made in a two-man team, where both of us were programmers studying at the bachelor in Software Development.
About
The game is played by two players, who each have a deck of cards and a board. These are tracked by webcams, which send the information to a server that calculates the game logic.
Afterwards the server projects the game, using a projector, on the floor between the players.
The card's attributes, such as attack and defense are visualized and updated on the floor as the game unfolds.
Cardigo is a phase based game, and the player changes the phase either by a special "phase card" which can be flipped or by fulfilling a certain phase requirement, such as moving a card into "attack mode"
